I woke up this morning with my head in the sand and my early morning tears being swept by the current into the ocean. Cool, gentle breezes whistled by my ears as my wide eyes shoot towards the sky. I grilled my lungs over smoke stacks the night before and laid them out to cool underneath a twilight full of harsh and subtle realizations. When you are born as a different person when you awake, will that person inevitably die that night?

Father turns 56 today, so on Tuesday I rode my bike to Somers Point to get him a card.

This is depressing.

I can't get Mars Volta tickets because they're too expensive and too popular now, as they're playing with the red hot chili peppers. Pretty much, it's selling out like crazy. I don't know, I guess that's why people do get mad at bands when they start getting bigger. It's like a fucking competition as to who can get their tickets first or who can spend the most money, ugh I just hate it. I won't get started on Ticketmaster.

Moods have been merging lanes from idealism to reality for the past few days. Stop and go traffic along what should be a late night cruise, with the shoulder lines blocked off by complete uncertainty.

Tuesday was the Colbert Report with Klock and Cory, which was by far the best day I've had in awhile. Even though it was a far journey for a 30 minute show, just to be there (and be on tv) was well worth it for me.

It's hard, as much as I missed it down here, it's starting to settle in again that I'm trapped, like there's nothing I can really do here for myself. I'm working on writing a review for Pitchfork and I'd love it if it got published.

All I can do is shrug and say, "Eh." Who knows what's going to happen, but I'm the only one that can do something about it.
